Cream is very pure and gentle, she is also very courteous. She tries her hardest in anything she does and her curiosity sometimes gets everyone in trouble, but she is a girl that no one can hate. She can be quite strong if needed, and her flying abilities can come in handy.
_C_O_S_M_O (my personal fav)
A young and pleasant plant girl from a long lost planet. Cosmo arrived in search of Sonic for his help to fight off the Metarex, who had just destroyed her ship and her sisters. Cosmo is now the last female of her race and in the care of Sonic and his friends, as they travel through space in search of the Chaos Emeralds and the Planets Souls. What Cosmo doesn't know is that her life was spared by the Metarex to turn her into a spy. She was implanted with a chip which sent back everything she sees and hears.
Even though she has no family left and relies on her friends to be there for her, there's one person who means more to her than family or friends, and that's Tails. Cosmo's love for him is shown in her devotion, kindness, and gentle nature towards him as well as her undying trust. It's this love which drives her on to help and protect everyone she cares about at the eleventh hour when all hope is lost. Tails would do anything to protect her and Cosmo would sure do the same.
But Cosmo isn't one who gets into fights as she has no combat skills at all but she does have a few tricks being a plant herself, such as having the ability to see how a plant, a tree, or the planet is feeling
_R_O_U_G_E (pernounce rouse)
A world famous treasure hunter. Her voluptuous and daring attitude turns any man's head. Her policy though is that duty comes first, but she has a big interest in jewels. Her figure, speech and behaviour masks the true personality she has. She was discovered by the government accidentally and was forced to work for them, being paired off with agent Topaz. After a while though she became fond of being a spy and also took a shine to her partner. Along the way she's got herself in trouble, and even crossed paths with a certain red headed echidna that's secretly caught her attention. Don't let her looks fool you though, she's deadly.
BOYS:
_S_O_N_I_C
Hating boredom, this hedgehog of supersonic speed is never in one place for too long. His life is filled with exploration and adventure and compared with rules and common sense, he follows his own rules, living life to the fullest. He's a friend to many and always keeps his promises, no matter how impossible they are. He would never betray anyone and follows his own plans, usually. When you think you're all alone in facing the world, or in need of help, he'll always be there get you through in a pinch.
He's all up for action and adventure as he speeds around wherever he goes and although he's afraid of water, as he can't swim, it doesn't stop him from taking a break down on the beach one in a while!
His speed, skills, and attacks are just what he needs when facing Dr.Eggman and are always the key to stopping the mad doctors schemes. One skill in particular is Sonic' ability to absorb energy from the Chaos Emeralds. This energy allows him to transform into Super Sonic as well as perform his Light Speed Attack and Chaos Control.
_T_A_I_L_S
A young fox with two tails (a kitsunie). Like Dr. Eggman, Tails is a genius with science and technology. However, he uses his talents for good and one day may even become greater than Eggman himself, but he is not aware of this possibility. He is like Sonic' younger brother, and like all little brothers, he was once dependant on Sonic. But as he's grown Tails has shown initiative and proven he can handle himself in situations. With his two tails he has the ability to spin them like helicopter rotors allowing him to fly and perform other skills. His talents are of great help to Sonic and his friends and is an invaluable asset to them all. He loves to help out any one who needs him or spend his time working in the lab, either way it's clear to see that he's the brains of the group. He loves to fly and treasures his flying creations such as the Tornado 2, the fearsome X Tornado, and his mighty spaceship the Blue Typhoon.
Although Sonic and his friends are like family there's one individual that will always be closer to him than any of them, Cosmo. The young girl from space captured his heart and had a great influence on him. Since meeting her Tails has displayed great bravery, strength, loyalty, and devotion as well as independence, traits that will make him a hero like Sonic.
_KNUCKLES_
A wild and tough echidna, Knuckles is stubborn and doesn't adapt easily. Once he and Sonic were rivals, but their differences have long since been resolved and is often jealous of Sonic' free spirit. He is famous as a treasure hunter and as a master of the Martial Arts with his arms that are so powerful that he can make rocks shatter. He can sometimes act to hastily or act a bit to hostile to others, and even though he seems tough he's really a softy deep down. His duty and mission in life to to stand guard protecting the Master Emerald on Angel Island, and he will do everything in his power to make sure no gets hold of it. He is also the last of his race, and even though there are many mysteries behind his past and his race, he doesn't let it faze him.
Unfortunately he's also very gullible and often falls for Eggman's tricks, at the same time he's also shy around girls. But like all, Knuckles has a rival when it come to treasure hunting and martial arts. The suave and seductive Rouge The Bat, a jewel thief and a bit of a kick boxer. Despite the fact she's always got her eyes on the Master Emerald, Knuckles feels something for her other than respect but would rather hide it than show a form of weakness.
_C_H_R_I_S
A young boy from Earth. Because his grandfather is a scientist, his father a business chairman for a computer software company, and his mother an actress, Chris is often alone. But despite this he has many friends and over the years in his young life has also developed common sense and an ability to survive. When he encounters Sonic, his sense of value changes, and learns more about life as things go along. His friendship with Sonic is strong and unique to any other friendship, so strong that not even the boundaries between dimensions can break it.
During the six years in which Chris lives without Sonic he grows and learns more, his spirit for life renewed. By time he's 18, Chris has become just about as smart as Tails and as skilled as Knuckles with Martial Arts. Unfortunately Chris reverts into the body of his 12 year old self when he attempts to visit Sonic, but with the physical change aside he still retains his maturity and skills and becomes an even greater asset to his friends, one who they even have to depend on at times.
Chris doesn't really have any other relationships other than his friends and family, but in later years does have feelings for Helen.
_Dr.Eggman_
Although he is the authority in robot engineering, Dr. Eggman is juvenile minded, having the delusion of being able to execute the perfect plan for world domination. Gaining the seven Chaos Emeralds and creating the Eggman Empire are his greatest goals. Although Sonic is his greatest enemy, its possible that Dr.Eggman has a deep respect for the teen hedgehog. But that still doesn't stop him from trying every dirty trick he can come up with to rid of the blue obstacle.
He will go far as it takes to achieve his goal, weather it be siding with Sonic and his pals or joining with the evil Metarex!
Shadow
According to Sonic, this black hedgehog looks just like him. Shadow is an ageless immortal who can wield the power of the Chaos Emeralds to perform the time and space warping Chaos Control. Shadow has his own agenda and will do all he can to keep to it, making him a very dangerous person, focused on his own mission. There are many mysteries surrounding his past, but it's very clear to see he's a perfect match against Sonic in any situation. He's quick on his feet and can get out of pretty much any mess he's caught up in.
Although he lost his memory after the Ark incident back on Earth, Shadow tries his best to recover and at the same time do what he can to help others out, as long as it doesn't affect his own interests. He is not a hero by any means, nor an enemies, but rather an anti-hero.

Dark Oak
Dark Oak is the leader of the Metarex, an army of bio-robots that scours the galaxy for the Planet Eggs, jewels that contain the life energies of the planets. Dark Oak has one large, green eye and carries a golden sword.
Dark Oak first appears to challenge Super Sonic in orbit around Sonic's planet. Despite Super Sonic's seeming invincibility in his previous battles, he is unable to defeat Dark Oak. In order to prevent Oak from stealing the Chaos Emeralds, Sonic uses Chaos Control to send them away. As Sonic falls toward the planet, Oak departs for space, revealing injuries Sonic hadn't noticed. His final act in that incident was to alert his forces to search for the Chaos Emeralds and to send a Metarex to remove Earth's Planet Egg.
Later, Oak appears behind the scenes, scheming his enemies' downfall in secret. He dispatches Starship, the spacefaring Metarex, to destroy them. After this fails, Dark Oak confronts Sonic and co. in a battle over the seven Chaos Emeralds. After the fortress where he was keeping the last two Chaos Emeralds was destroyed and the jewels scattered, Dark Oak declares that it was only a test.
Starship
A space-faring Metarex of great power, Starship was assigned to destroy Cosmo's clan. He later destroys a fleet of anti-Metarex forces when Dark Oak commissions him to destroy Sonic and Eggman. Seemingly destroying Eggman's spaceship, he engages Tails' Blue Typhoon. However, the combined efforts of Sonic and company, and some unforseen help from Shadow the Hedgehog, destroys him.
Starship is equipped with many varieties of missiles and lasers. His armor is almost impenetrable, requiring the full power of the Sonic Driver, the Blue Typhoon's main weapon, to pierce. Sonic, Amy Rose, and Knuckles the Echidna clog its weapon outlets. This causes each of Starship's attacks to backfire and destroy himself, piecemeal. Starship eventually attempts to self-destruct in a last ditch effort to destroy the blue hedgehog. Luckily Shadow uses Chaos Control to freeze time, allowing Sonic and Tails time to safely contain Starship's explosion within a magnetic field. As Chaos Control wears off, Starship explodes and peace is restored, for the time being.
Red Pine
One of Dark Oak's four commanders, Red Pine commands a vast armada of Metarex. He has a single red eye and wears a flowing, crimson cape.
Pine first shows up to attack Sonic and co. when they invade a Metarex fortress looking for the remaining Chaos Emeralds. When the fortress is compromised, Pine orders his fleet to destroy it. However, a gravity field appears and draws both commander an fleet to their doom.
Black Narcissus
Black Narcissus wears a black cape has an insectoid head with a purple eye. A Metarex commander, Black Narcissus is fascinated by Sonic's speed, and determined to learn its origins.
Pale Bay Leaf
Pale Bay Leaf is an insectoid Metarex with three eyes and a light blue cape. Of all the Metarex commanders, he is the most tactical, seeking intelligent methods to his problems. He is also unintimidated by Sonic and co., and after the Chaos Emeralds are scattered by a gravity field, he is the first to recover one.
Yellow Zelkova
Yellow Zelkova is a bulky Metarex commander with no visible eyes and a yellow cape. Zelkova considers himself the strongest Metarex commander, and brute force is his answer to everything. Dark Oak later dispatches him to the Intergalactic Cloister to get rid of Sonic and co. He put up a good fight, proving himself even stronger than Knuckles the Echidna. However, he proved too slow to defeat the speedier Sonic and Knuckles. However, he was the first Metarex to survive a direct hit from the Sonic Power Cannon on the Blue Typhoon. He swore vengeance, vowing that the Metarex would destroy them.
Yellow Zelkova is not the brightest in the bunch, considered an invalid by both Dark Oak and his comrades Narcissus and Leaf. Unlike most Metarex, he uses no weapons, relying on his fists and head to attack.
_A_M_Y
When the Sonic X series was first announced, early screenshots of the show were released with it. The most interesting shot had a mysterious "Super Hedgehog" that looked similar (and different) from Super Sonic. Unlike Super Sonic, this mysterious hedgehog (named Nazo, which is Japanese for "mystery") glowed with Blue Aura, his quills pointed upward, and has a more wild expression in his eyes. Nazo appeared directly at the end of the Pilot Trailer for Sonic X. But in the end, like a lot elements that appeared in the Pilot Trailer, Nazo never appeared in the series. However, whatever Nazo was, he continues to be a strong debate among Sonic X fans. (Some think he was a "fusion" form between Sonic and Shadow, while others theorized Nazo as Hyper Sonic or Shadow, or possibly a new higher Super form of Sonic or Shadow, or an entirely new character in Super or Hyper form.) The Pilot Trailer most likely indicates that Sonic X went through a large number of changes in design and story elements before its debut in Japan (Bocoe and Decoe had different and more simplistic designs, Shadow appears on Eggman's Island Base and an Orange Tornado plane was also eventually changed to the X-Tornado on the show.) and Nazo just seems to be a prototype design for Super Sonic. In series 2 Sonic transforms into "Dark" Super Sonic, an evil version of himself who bears close resemblance to Nazo, furthermore approving the fact that Nazo may just be a prototype of Super Sonic not used in the final version of the show.
